Better yet is buying one direct from Epson for $299 (after $100 rebate) and free shipping. But Epson direct gives you the OEM version of Elements 2.0 for free and you can upgrade the OEM version of Elements to PS CS for something cheap, like $300. So if you're going to buy PS CS, you can get a free 1280 by going through the proper steps. Unlike many companies, Epson does send the $100 rebate quickly and in an envelope that you won't mistake and throw away. And Adobe ships the full version of PS CS the next day. Best thing is with MIS ink, the 1280 is still an incredible b&w printer, comparable to anything else out there today. However, you must judge by print quality, not specs.
