Paul - I haven't printed anything on my 9600 with the Epson drivers in over a year. But, as I recall, IP is slower than the Epson drivers. Especially if one is printing at 2880. When I upgraded my computer, I did not see any difference in prints speeds, so I believe the differences must be in the bit streams being sent to the printer. IP's may be quite a bit more complex.
