I tried printing on glossy paper for the first time using UT inks, a 1280 and Epson's premium glossy paper. Using the carbon curves for Eboni black, the glossy print is a bit darker and there is some loss of detail in very dark areas. (The difference can be seen across the entire tonal range.) To this point, I have only printed on matte paper (my comparison in this case is EEM) and I am not sure what conclusion to draw. Is this a normal artifact of glossy paper, in which case it would be easy enough to apply a final curve to lighten the image. I am using Paul Roark's curves rather than the sliders. Steve
