I use QTR with my 1200 and it works pretty well. I use
MIS ultratone ink. I have also used my 2200 with QTR
(both UT ink and Ultrachrome ink) and its quality is
better but not by that much. The 2200 is a lot faster.
If you are just staring out, just try the 1200 to see
if you like QTR and what it can do. Then make an
investment in a 1280 or 2200.
