That's the question, can the blade easily be replaced, and how expensive is it? If it's easy to replace, and farily cheap, it's part of the paper cost, if you save $25 on say 100 photos, and spend $5 on blades, who cares? The other issue, is the blade a proprietory Epson part, or could you substitute another blade, that holds it's edge better. Can the blade be sharpened? Take the blade to someone who specializes in industrial blades, and see if they have anything the same size and shape..... W
