Hello,
This morning I upgraded QTR from 2.0 to 2.1 on MacOS 10.3.5.
I am using two 1160's with different quadblack inksets (MIS UT and FS)
and profiles of my own. When using the generic 1160 install script to
reinstall my curves only one Quad1160 printer was installed and my
original curves (with different printer names in them) were not
appearing in the new print dialog anymore.
This is the workaround I found to install everything properly and have
two working printers.
Turn on printer one and edit the install script for this printer on
line 12:
PRINTER=Quad${PRINTERMODEL}
I just added UT to get
PRINTER=Quad${PRINTERMODEL}UT
But you can add anything yourself.
Save the script and put it in the folder with the curves to install.
This will create a new printer (in this example) with the name
Quad1160UT. Then I edited the curve files by changing the printer name
to the above name. From an earlier post by Roy I learned that you can
even leave the printer name completely out.
Then doubleclick on the install script and a printer called Quad1160UT
is installed with your curves.
Then turn off printer one and turn on printer two.
Repeat all the above steps and add another suffix to line 12 of (a
copy) of the installscript. This time I added FS to get a printer
called Quad1160FS. Repeat all the above steps and your done. Now you
have two Quad1160's with different names you can chose in the
printdialogs. And they will print happily at the same time too.
