Hello again all, I wrote in the other day asking for thoughts on the usage of an Epson 1520 printer for B&W. Although I received no reply to my query, I thought I should report in that my question is probably now mute. For the first time since I bought it new in 1997 I have a blockage in the black that I can not clear no matter what. I have tried special head cleaning cartridges, my old faithful trick of tape head cleaning solution ... and also tried rubbing alcohol and then later some windex. Of course, I tried cleaning via the utility on the computer too. Nothing I do will make all of the lines appear on the black test. Only some appear. The CMY cartridge is fine. Does this mean my 1520 has finally died? Is the only recourse to take it out and give it a burial? Thanks for any advice, -Lynn
