So, other than having to manually convert to use NIK, and maintain a separate file, the outcome is the same. I use FM, NIK and sometimes PS CS USM, and sometimes a combo. They all have their place depending on the image and what you're doing with it. BTW, at a recent seminal I attended, I aske the NIK rep about 16 bit. He didn't give me a time frame, but did indicate that 16 bit was on their list for a future upgrade. Is this serious? I use Nik on Grayscale files all the time without a problem.
