I just answered a nearly identical question in the Qimage group. My answer was that I too thought about IP at one stage for much the same reasons. I then discovered QTR & QTRGui for B&W work, which solved the problem of getting neutral B&W prints from a 2200 using UC inks. When used in conjuntion with Qimage for page layout, you've virtually got a B&W equivalent of IP for much less. Given this, I wasn't convinced that the extra money for IP was worth it for my humble requirements. By all means, if you need IP's functionality, buy it, but if your interest is mostly in B&W, then personally I'd regard it as a little crazy if you didn't at least try QTR(Gui) first. F_P
