"Is it ok to leave it turned on for long periods of time?" I'm not familiar with the 2100 specifically but when I asked Epson tech support this question about my 1280 and 2200 on I was told that they should always be turned off when not in use, that leaving them on all the time causes the inks to dry up. I know that Epsons use ink for cleaning every time that you turn them on. Is it ok to leave it turned on for long periods of time? I've got a long learning curve with this printer - I can't work out why some prints work well and some are blue when printing is set to black. I'll get there in the end. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks, Rich -- http://smallfield.vze.com http://photos.smallfield.vze.com "Any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic." --Clarke's Third Law Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, and other resources as they are often being updated. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint If you wish to receive no emails or just a daily digest, or you wish to unsubscribe, please edit your Membership preferences by visiting this same page.
