For the most part they don't have much effect. But there some Pro printers which can take info such as vacuum strength, platen gap, paper thickness. I have had time to check for any noticeable effect so I've just left them in. I personally always use matte papers and always select Matte for the Media Type. Roll paper is only supported in the 2.1 release. The Mac has it now, PC will shortly. I've been working with Stephen about QTRgui for the next release so it may have some things that are already for 2.1. Roy
