My impression is that the relatively long fade resistance dyes can now get
is due largely to the swellable papers.  I tested the HP grayscale inks on
several versions of the swellable papers, and they were about the same and
not bad, but not close to UT pigments.

PK is not the same as the DuraBrite black.  That one is a hybrid pigment-dye
"universal" ink.  I'm filling the new C86 empty carts with UC PK from a 7600
PK cart.

Yes, I think they are improving the breed.  The resolution keeps going up
and the dmax is better.
