Quick follow up. I e-mailed tech support at MIS and this was their reply: This problem can be caused by a slightly over filled cartridge. It does not pose a problem and can usually be cleared by running three cleaning cycles. You may repeat the process if necessary and you may also print our purgeblack page to prevent the system from trying to spray extra ink. It wiill clear up by the time you have finished these steps.
