I had the same problem on my Photo EX, and it started when the printer 
was just a few months out or warrantee. The only solution was to print 
at 360 dpi and I gave the printer to my daughter for her school work. 
The repair was simply too expensive to consider.

I know this isn't good news...

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
