I don't know about GIMP, but if you're looking for a inexpensive alternative to PS, you might want to investigate Picture Window at <http://www.dl-c.com>. It reads .acv files and has a full range of editing facilities. (I have no connection with the company; I've been using it for several years. I also use UT2 on a 1280). Jim Zall
