Julian,
I can´t say anything about MIS VM on an 1160, I suppose that 
results are similar to the  prints with FS  inks in quality and dot 
visibility because driver and possible print-resolution are the 
same. So you should see some dots ( under magnification)  But 
I really don´t know what Paul´s curves are doing with the 1160 
driver.
Maybe Paul knows something about quality difference between 
1160 with 1440 dpi and 1290 with 2880 dpi.
