Allan, Sound like an incorrect ink. I'll send the test purge pattern files off list. I just upgraded from using UT2 catridges in my 1280 to the CFS, both with Eboni inks. Before, with the carts, I found that my prints came out a bit lower in contrast than my screen. No big deal - I just went a little farther with the curves than I normally would. However, now the blacks (in particular) are WAAAAY darker than they were before. I've completely lost shadow detail in a number of instances. The bottle is clearly labeled Eboni, and I've checked that the CFS is installed correctly (right tubes to the right carts, etc). Any idea if there is a formulation difference that could account for this? Could the bottle have settled in some way that would cause this. It's really dramatic. thanks and happy holidays, allan -- Technical Projects Specialist Academic Computing Stanford University v - (650) 996-0546 f - (650) 725-4685 Please visit the Group Homepage to check the Files, and other resources as they are often being updated. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint If you wish to receive no emails or just a daily digest, or you wish to unsubscribe, please edit your Membership preferences by visiting this same page.
