I just want to report my opinion on this combination: EPSON C86 (Settings: Gamma 1.8; Contrast -14; Brightness +3; High speed-off) MIS EZN Carts.w/PK EPSON Premium Luster Photo Paper NIKON D-70 NEF File QImage: Prtr ICC-off; Interp Max/ Max/Pyramid / 5 (default) WOW! I just printed a few portraits and they look awesome. I think this is a close to a fiber-base "wet" print as you can get. I used to print on glossy fiberbase in the darkroom. The above combo gives me what I've been looking for in a "digital" print. Even a "hardcore" photographer wouldn't be able to tell it's an inkjet, digital print from normal viewing distance. Even if you "put your nose on it", I think you'd be hard-pressed totell it's digital. A knowlegable photographer may detect a SLIGHT bit of over-sharpening, but not at normal (18 inches or so) view distance. Everything I've been looking for in a "digital darkroom", er.... ah... except that 44" wide printer. I'm working on that!
