Digital BW, The Print

This is odd.I print with UT-FSN using Eboni black on this paper,and have not 
found any problems...prints smooth...

Update on Ilford Galerie Smooth:

I neglected to mention that I'm using Eboni ink (UT2) on a 1280.

Based on Paul's explanation that these weird patterns are evidence of
too much ink on the paper, I tried 11 combinations of paper type and
curves or sliders.

The only samples I have done so far that do not have artifacting
visible at a 10" viewing distance are Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper with
Eboni Neutral Curve, and PQIJP with sliders C-5,M+5,brt+15. But at
closer viewing distance the artifacts are still visible.

Has anyone managed to completely banish these artifacts from the
Ilford paper? Would I have better luck with Photo Black Ink?

If the answer is no to these questions I may have 20 sheets of Ilford
Pearl Smooth for sale :)
