Just received my Print Exchange package and I am very impressed and pleased. First thanks and three cheers to Shaun for making it all happen! Hip! Hip! Hurrah! Also special thanks to Bernd Langmack who sent three versions of his image MIS FS with the Epson driver, MIS FS with the Piezo driver and Piezo ink with the Piezo driver. Carolyn Frayn who sent four prints showing what can be done with the Epson 2000P and Epson color pigment inks. Paul Roark who sent three prints showing different tones achievable with the MIS VM ink set. Jeremy Cox who sent two prints showing the range of Lysonic E inks using a custom profile on Arches Hot Press paper and with a different profile on Epson Photo Quality Paper. Aside from the wonderful and varied pieces of art in this portfolio, this represents a remarkable set of first class example of what can be obtained with a wide variety of tools and materials. I count at least 6 different ink sets, 14 different papers and multiple combinations of drivers, printers and workflows. The collection is a testament to the current state of B&W print production using inkjet printers. While there are differences between the processes they are much less than what I imagined and all of them are fully viable as expressive, artistic mediums. Thanks to all who shared their vision.
