Digital BW, The Print

Yes it can. I've had the same thing happen. The first time I called Epson,
they suggested I replace a cartridge that was low but not totally out. That
fixed the problem. It's happened a couple times since and each time
replacing the low cartridge has fixed it.

No, unless by some miracle all your nozzles are clogged. (I assume you've
done a head cleaning.) It sounds more like a power supply failure, or
perhaps the flex cable to the head has come partially unplugged.
