[Digital BW] Re: Kirkland=Galerie Premium? (Paul)

2005-01-05 by awahlster

Well, Costco is only about 20 minutes away and since I'm currently out
of paper and Not working I think a short drive into the big city is in
order. Of course as soon as I figure out how I like it on my Canon
i960 I'll run out of ink LOL.

embarrased with the results I've had to sell thus far using a variety
of papers. I've been tried all of the following:

Ink, 1440 super, better speed, ordered dither, UC-EPhotoPaper-neutral
curve at 100%, ink limit and gamma adjust at 0, I get the best
looking, neutral black and white prints of the bunch. The blacks are
deep and rich, and the tones very pleasing.

profile I get very good color match to my profiled monitor (so good I
wonder if I will even bother investing in a custom profile). The same
print side by side an Epson Premium Luster and the only thing my
customer will notice is the difference in finish (which is personal
preference and likely a toss-up) and the almost complete lack of
bronzing on the Kirkland paper. I wish I could say the same about
Epson Prem. Luster.
