Dave,

At first I thought you were the David Brooks that wrote the recent
Shutterbug article on B&W printing. That article does review many of the
alternatives.

My index of printing information is at
http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/index.htm. I review most of the MIS solutions
I've been involved with in Readme files access from that page. (I am not
formally affiliated with MIS.)

As to the subject line, I really like the 2200 and C86 "easy-refill"
cartridges. I'm not sure I want to mess with the old style (including 1280)
carts at all. I think the cost savings from re-filling these carts with
bulk inks pays the difference between the 2200 and 1280 rather quickly.

I use my C86 and 7500 the most. All the other printers just sit around
gathering dust for the most part.

Enjoy your B&W journey.

Paul

Lynne or anyone for that matter. Could you direct me to those posts.

I'm new to this group, not new to photography, and would like to add
another printer to my S800 for dedicated B&W.

Let me say,i'm glad i found this group the other day. the few B&W
prints i have done are not very good and i hope to read as many back
posts as i can.
(although my darkroom is not totally gone lol)
