Before Photo Rag really hit the shelves I asked Media Street if they'd be
carrying it, because they are my favorite source for (rebranded) Hahnemühle
papers. Their reply was something like "well, we'll have our Royal
Renaissance. Well send you a couple of sheets to test", which they
graciously did. Likewise Digital Art Supplies sent me a couple of sheets of
Hahnemühle Photo Rag to test. Sure look like the same stuff to me.

It's not as smooth as Photo Matte, and the paper white is not as cool, but
to my subjective taste it's got a more quality feel. The substrate itself
anyway, but both are capable of yielding fine images. It's what I'll be
using too for "final prints". All the Hahnemühle papers that I've tried are
top notch IMO, and Media Street is the cheapest, and their service has been
very good for me so far.

You should request a sample, most places will send one or two letter sized
sheets for you to print on.
