Dave, Apparently the pure pigment inks that I prefer due to their excellent lightfastness can only be used in Epson printers. What I've heard is that Epson's patented piezo-electric heads are needed to pump the higher viscosity inks. The higher viscosities are needed to stop the pigments from dropping out of suspension. Bottom line -- I think, for now, we're stuck with Epson printers for carbon pigment B&W printing. Luckily, they have to keep the prices competitive with Canon and HP, so we're getting reasonable prices. I have never owned Epson printers, just Canon, and i did a search of the archives and came up empty on Canon inks. If i stay with Canon, what model or ink combo's i should be aware of. It looks like Epson has dedicated inks for the B&W proccess,is that correct. Nothing against Epson,if Canon has nothing, then Epson it is.<vbg> Dave Brooks Ontario Canada --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Paul Roark" <paul.roark@v...> wrote: > Dave, > My index of printing information is at > http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/index.htm.
