The batch file is created on the fly and deleted once the printing has finishes. Its name is generated by the Windows GetTempFileName function so even I could not tell you what it is. The reason for wanting to print using Pipes (which is the alternative to Batch files) is that batch files do nasty things to extended ligatures and accented characters such as á, æ, ø, ö, ß, etc. Mostly, it changes them into something in the US ASCII subset. So, if you happen to use name a file with one of these characters, you can't print it using batch files. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen -----Original Message----- From: donbga [mailto:dstevenbryant@mindspring.com] Sent: Sunday, January 09, 2005 2:29 PM To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Digital BW] Re: The latest version om QuadTone RIP 2.1d, anyone tried it? > > Sorry butI don't understand what you mean. From that I would infer from that is that the quadtoneprint.bat file is required since it is probably refered to directly by QTRGui.exe code. I've scanned the file and found no direct ASCII reference to that name so that would be my guess. Again why do you need it to work without using batch files?
