Could you provide some more information:
 
What OS
What version of QTR
What happened after you "OK" the "invalid floating point operation"
Some description of the image: Is  it 8 bit grayscale, 24bit RGB, or what.
Was it saved with compression? What kind of compression. Was it saved with
Alpha Channels? What is the size of the image?

I tried once again to use the program. This time I got the message
"invalid floating point operation" when I selected an image. I tried
this several time with different images, even removed and reinstalled
the programs. Same result.

What now?
