Digital BW, The Print

Sorry about that, I guess we need to watch the subject line more closely.

I have two printers, a 1280 and a 7000. To tell you the truth, with a 6x loupe and the Epson driver they are both comparable. Since Epson does not publish the droplet size of the 7000, I looked in the Calgraph technicians service manual. It states that the heads are DX3 Drop on Demand 4 picoliter heads. I would have to believe this as the 1280 drop size is visually indistinguishable from the 7000.

I will tell you that with Paul Roarks curves and the Variable Tone inks using the Epson Driver and the Custom controls set at "Vivid" and not Automatic, I am getting dotless prints.
