Given that the OP stated he has purchased and is using ImagePrint software why would he want to follow your advice to "give BO printing a try"? For a dedicated BW printer, IP would not be my first choice from the perspective of cost-effectiveness(given the availability of good, low-cost alternatives like QTRIP and BO), but it is certainly is capable of excellent B&W (as well as color) output. As to the details of best paper, etc--I'll assume that the IPers will comment on that. Phil
