Digital BW, The Print

Does anyone use the Inkrepublic damper system in their CFS? I
black-only print on my 1280 using an MIS cart filled with Eboni ink. I
was eager to try out the Inkrepublic spongless system to replace the
Epson cart MIS uses because the sponge seems to be the main source of
problems with these systems.

However, when I install the Inkrepublic damper I lose all my black
nozzles. If I reinstall the original epson cart or the MIS CFS
cartridge I get the nozzles right back. I am completely stumped and
open to anything stupid I may have overlooked. The Inkrepublic damper
uses a clip to seal off the tube while installing or removing the
damper and I am releasing that before printing, so first obvious item
is checked off the list...
