It is interesting to see that a CIS manufacturer addresses the problems related to adding a CIS to a desktop printer. The damper/sieve should have a larger size than what is available in the normal cart/head given the quantity of ink that should go through the system and the less "clean room" conditions of ink filling. What surprises me is the advice to fill the damper from the seal side, the side that will fit on the head. That's what it looks like on the web page, am I wrong in that observation ? Any filth that gets at that side of the damper will flow to the head. If you take the damper out and keep it lower than the bottle, does the ink flow ? Is the tube in the bottle not stuck to a wall of the bottle ? If not then your problem may be that the filter in the black damper got clogged right away. Any restrictions of the CIS manufacturer on the use of dye inks versus pigment inks ? If there's no flow and the tube is free in the bottle then you could take off the damper and clean it with a reverse flow with cleaner fluid but make sure the last cleaning goes with the flow. The CIS system looks well designed. Ernst
