Martin, thanks I will look on that group as well. Ernst, you are correct about filling the damper. After you place the tube in the ink bottle, you take a small bottle they supply, squeeze the air out of it, and then place the tip of the bottle into the outlet hole of the damper. The ink is then drawn up into the damper through the tube. You then clamp off the line with a stopper to prevent ink from spilling out. I should have mentioned I am using MIS Eboni pigment ink in this damper. My friend's theory is that this ink is too thick to flow through the filter in their damper. --Jim
