I downloaded John Paul Caponigro's B&W action from the Adobe Web site, but had problems running it. John Paul sent me an adjusted action, and it works just fine. If you download the action from Adobe and it doesn't run properly, let me know and I'll send you the action which John Paul sent me (I'll try to get his ok to send it). I've also demoed other tools from vendors such as Imaging Factory. IMO, PR B&W Studio does as good a job as any of 'em, but, quite honestly, I think you'll find you can do a better job on your own in PS once you know a little about what you're doing. > > So far, the best approach I've found for B&W conversions you can download for free from Adobe's website. Do a search for John Paul Caponigro and you should find the article and corresponding downloadable action. The are other derivatives of this same technique on sites such as The Light's Right, etc. > > Good luck, > Alan Huntley > > > > > From: "steveabrink" <steveabrink@y...> > > Date: 2005/01/17 Mon PM 02:04:22 EST > > To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com > > Subject: [Digital BW] B&W software apps ... > > > > > > > > Has anyone tried the Fred Miranda B&W Pro and/or the Power Retouche > > B&W s/w...?
