Re: Epson 1160 Banding

2005-01-19 by hill14701

3 things to consider: 1 - Do a nozzle check to make sure all black nozzles are firing - and
clean the heads if needed. 2 - do an printhead alignment. 3 - if banding is still visible,
move the paper size selector from "+" to "0" (or vice versa) and do another print head
alignment.

The 1160 in Black Only with the Epson inks should give you an image that shows no
banding. Unfortuately mine did exactly what you are describing, even though all nozzles
were printing and the printer was in perfect alignment. As the unit was under warrantly
from Arditio's (actually a few days past the warranty period) Ron fixed it at no charge to
me and it is working perfectly again with BO.

The 1160 is a spectacular printer, and handles BO nicely.
