RE: [Digital BW] Re: 1280 CIS from mis

As with the 2200 and C86, I'm hoping the easy-refill cartridges make the
CIS/CFS a non-issue. I don't use them. If the easy-refill carts don't
appear soon for the 1280 I'm about to pull all support for the printer.
Once you use one of these easy-refill carts, you won't want to bother with
the alternatives.

I'm glad I posted this problem-it was hard to believe that I was alone with
this
poorly functioning device- the stock answer from MIS-regarding foam build up

doesn't make sense after only 2 months of use. Actually it makes sense in
terms of poor design but not in terms of the natural characteristic of ink.
Speaking of over priced I am tempted to go with the Piezo ICC iquads
solution..really expensive but I don't see post in that group regarding
similar
problems..only set-up, soft proofing and print dialog issues.
I think Paul Roark is an amazing talent and generous mentor-but the ink
delivery systems that support his efforts are less than ideal.
I'll probably get some stock epson carts today for the 1280 and see if the
nozzle check revieves-
