Beware. I had one last year for ten days. It won't always scan the negatives on a sheet and will miss frames, it'll have colour casts all over the place and the software is rubbish. Canon's standard reply was 'not a problem we've heard of', then you look around and see others the same. I returned it and bought the Epson 4870. Best of all, the Epson runs on Vuescan.
