Digital BW, The Print

I am completely new to using QTR but have been really happy with my results thus far.  I 
would however like to create a profile with i1 for ilford galerie pearl paper.  I have read the 
directions for creating the profile for soft proofing, however I am unclear if I can produce 
profiles/curves when it comes to using them in the RIP.  How difficult is this process?
