Michael, That is some very exciting news! Is the "Vivid" setting any relation to the Vivid that shows up in the Epson 1270 drive when you choose Custom>PhotoEnhance4? Is there something similar in the 1280 driver? Or is the "Vivid" just an option on the 7000? Martin --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@y..., "Michael J. To tell you the truth, with a 6x loupe and the Epson driver they are both comparable. Since Epson does not publish the droplet size of the 7000, I looked in the Calgraph technicians service manual. It states that the heads are DX3 Drop on Demand 4 picoliter heads. I would have to believe this as the 1280 drop size is visually indistinguishable from the 7000. > > I will tell you that with Paul Roarks curves and the Variable Tone inks using the Epson Driver and the Custom controls set at "Vivid" and not Automatic, I am getting dotless prints. > > Mike > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
