Richard: What you're asking about I do once in a while. If it's only slightly larger than my scanner (a Sapphir Ultre) I scan as many segments of it as necessary and merge the files in Photoshop. Plan B is to photograph the original in sections using a digital camera, and again merge. Scanner is easy. Camera is trickier - you have to worry about lighting, distance, overlap, etc. This is my first post on this forum. Hello everybody!
