Re: [Digital BW] Epson Lustre

Steve,
Thanks for the info.
A couple of things, I'm new to QTR and still on the learning curve, therefore some terms like Glup don't mean anyhing yet.
Also, I wish a could soft proof the prints before I spend inks and paper, any suggestions in terms of the blending and the other sliders they have?
And finally, yes, I do use the Epson inks because of the colors. ...
Thanks,
Moises

The only way to do it properly is to make a set of curves specifically for
that paper. At a minimum, use the EPSG curves and relinearize them if you
can. If you are able to I would suggest using a soft proof also. The issue
you will have with any RC paper is "bronzing". I spent a lot of time on RC
papers (with full access to the curve creation process) and gave them up
because of bronzing - until "glop" came along. Glop has been very effective
in removing bronzing from Luster but I now use a different ink set from you.
I use QTR to drive the glop application. Unfortunately, the move to RC
paper requires a decent jump in effort unless you are able to piggy-back the
work of others. I suspect that you have stuck with the Epson inks because
you like to do colour also. I think most people experimenting with glop are
using dedicated B&W ink sets.

Cheers

Steve
