Moises Glop is not a QTR term. It is short form for gloss optimizer. Epson introduced glop with the R800 printer. MIS has made their own version, by their own admission not as good as Epson's but good enough to remove a lot of bronzing from many papers. It can be loaded into their new refillable cartridges (thoroughly recommended). The issue is how do you apply it. Obviously a 21/2200 can not be used with the Epson driver as the driver doesn't expect glop to be loaded. I and others use QTR because you can define how each ink jet operates. Others use RGB curves or IJC/OPM. I think you have been pointed to Carl's soft proofs. Also Roy's new work is a big leap forward. (I have not had the chance to go through it yet.) I would also think hard about how you source your inks. Until recently my 2100 was set up with colour inks and a CFS. I used (and still use for colour) MIS' ultrachrome equivalents (take a look through their website). It is much cheaper to buy 4oz bottles (I live in the UK and a 4oz bottle of MIS ink costs the same as one cartridge in London!!), a set of their refillable cartridges and a few syringes etc and load your own ink. You also then have the advantage of expanding your horizons and loading whatever inks you want (eg UT7 with glop in the LK position) into the cartridges and using a programme like QTR to drive them. Swapping back and forth is not a major hassle.
