There do seem to be more problems with the 1280 than the 2200. The pigment printers do more automatic cleaning cycles, but I think there may be another major factor. A number of the 1280 cart batches appear to have been troublesome. And on a bad cart, the ink just will not release ink properly in one or more ink positions. What I've been having do not appear to be clogs. When I get one that shows this characteristic in a color spot, I just give up on the cart. I hope to get some of the new sponge-less, easy-refill ones this next week. We'll see how they work.
