It's possible that the OEM ink does not mix well with UT2. Search the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EPSON_Printers/ for recent posts by Art Entlich for head soaking solution involving household ammonia and windex which will dissolve whatever that is sitting in your printhead. After purging the head of the sudsy stuff you should be able to use UT2. Or perhaps the easy way is to get a cleaning cartridge from MIS. Always use this cleaning cartridge if you switch between the OEM and UT2 type inks. --nick
