MIS UT-FS inks in Epson 1270

I am planning on converting my old Epson 1270 to just B&W printing
using MIS UT-FS and UT-FSN inks. I have two questions:
1. I have some Epson heavyweight matte paper left over. Can this be
used and do I need a new profile?
2. Can I switch UT-FS and UT-FSN cartridges back and forth without
using new cartridges each time?
