Hi, I wouldn't say the one or the other is better. My 1160 prints with FSN are of warmer black (which I like), on the other hand the 4000 & QTR provide toning. This may be the beginning of my "Cold Period" ... My standard paper is EAM, for the fine prints I take HPR. HPR reminds me of good old darkroom works. It is not that pure white as the EAM is, but that's okay. The black of the HPR is definitely a little deeper. With the 1160 you are limited to print on matte paper which seems to be the standard. Anyhow I'm going to make some test prints on semi gloss and some of the other papers soon (Ilford, Arches, Canson etc.). I look forward to that.
