James, If I were switching from dyes I would definitely flush first, but I don't think that the MIS UC Equivalent and Epson UC are incompatible. I had no problems switching on the 2200, but of course there it was just a matter of purging the small volume of ink in the head. I just went ahead and used the purge procedure for my 4000 and got the K and LK inks flushed by printing about 12 K and LK 100% pages (latter with an LK only profile). Working very well and both BO and K+LK only profile prints are dead neutral gorgeous with the new neutral PKN and UT7 LKN inks. Dmax is about 2.46. I'm going top overcoat with glop in my 2200 and expect dmax to go up to about 2.5, based on Paul's experience.
