I'm seeing very different dmax readings for the 7600 and 4000 printers using UltraChrome Matte Black and EEM paper. I'm not sure where the variance is coming from. Some printers can only hit about 1.6, while others are printing huge 1.7+ dmaxs on EEM. Have others seen this? Does anyone have any ideas what the factors are that are causing these variances? EEM seems to be the paper where I see the largest (maybe only) differentials. So, near the top of my list is that EEM has some very different batches out there. I have not seen these types of variances with other printers, however. Has anyone noticed a change in the dmax of EEM paper batches in the last 6 months? Thanks.
