Digital BW, The Print

I am running QTR on XP and 2200.I would like to be able to 
softproof in PSCS but the file in Roy's web site specifically 
mentions 'for 2.0 version only,will not work in 2.1" Is there a 
version for 2.1.13? Where exactly are the QTR lab profiles on Roy's 
site? Is QTR lab matte used to softproof matte papers only? Is there 
a way to softproof luster or semigloss too?
           Please correct me if I am wrong but doesn't this 
converting to lab space simply place the grayscale file in a lab or 
lab matte WORKING space? The only way to really softproof would have 
to involve  OUTPUT profiles created with ione for every paper ink 
combination ,right? How does one get OUTPUT profiles for 
softproofing if one does not own profiling equipment?
