You mean a thin continous line in the direction of the print head like one nozzle was firing? After I wore out my first 1280, the second one started doing this. It was diagnosed on-line by others as the bad circuit board. I think the lines extending outside the print area is the key indicator. Epson did a warranty replacement for mine. Sorry I can't offer any hope if it's out of warranty.
