UK versions are 240v 50 hertz so you would need a transformer or other 
voltage converter.  AFAIK there's no voltage adjustment switch on the printer.

Shipping costs for a big heavy box like that would be significant but you 
would save the VAT which at 17.5% of the average price of 380GBP or so 
would be about 60 GBP.

amazon.co.uk list them at as good a price as anywhere.
